Zombie Xeevee and her friend Zeevee

Commission for the uber patient Xeevee ^.^ She wanted a zombiefied version of her persona, minus the blood splatter. She wanted it to look more like bits of flesh had fallen off, rather than my usual gooey wounds. Originally she'd wanted a dead eevee hanging out of the pokeball, but instead I made a little zombie eevee friend ^.^

OK! I tried some different things with this girl.... like a new mottling technique for her body colour. The differences in colour are very subtle. I intentionally left the edges of the wounds the body colour in the hopes it would add to the feel of flesh dropping off. As requested, I made the scarf tattered and torn, but I also added some texture to it to give it an added layer of realism. I'm really happy with how the scarf came out actually - I tried a new dry brushing technique with it, which I think really added depth to it. Theres quite a few layers of colour brushed on it.
The wounds are all sculpted, as is the 3D pokeball - which I tried to make look sunfaded in places, as well as giving it a nice big crack ^.^

The little eevee figure... I imported that from China, and when it arrived I set about carving a front leg off.... which was much harder than I'd originally anticipated!! The plastic was tough to cut through, but ultimately I love the way she looks, with her missing leg and chewed on ear NOMNOM!! I also did some dry brushing through her coat and gave her undead yellow eyes to match Zombie Xeevee.

Both pieces were airbrushed and hand painted using artist grade acrylics. Both are sealed with Dullcote and triple thick (for the eyes). Sculpting on both was done with Magic Sculpt.
Zombie Xeevee was rehaired using Deadly nightshade, sugarplum, Venom, Raspberry Sorbet, Bouganvillea, Ultraviolet and Sour grapes - all are Dollyhair nylon. Each plug was handblended as I rehaired and I really love the way it came out
